Well we all saw this coming. After being dragged through the mud by just about every major publication known to man, the numbers for the opening weekend for Stonewall have been released and it seems only the actors family members showed up to the theater.
Released in 129 theaters, the film grossed just $112,414. That made for an average of just $871 per theater over the weekend, the lowest of any new release by a few thousand dollars. Average movie tickets cost $8.12 right now which suggests only 107 people on average went to see "Stonewall" in each of its theaters' weekend showings combined.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
